Elise D. Clark is a web designer, writer, student, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, cat owner, roommate and cook.

She was born in Melbourne, Australia, and this is where she lived for the first 26 years of her life. But in 2002, she traded the Lygon st Festival for Brisbane writers festival, and began growing up on the plastic-fantastic Gold Coast.

In 2005 she took off to study at San Francisco State University, where she lived in a closet at the YMCA while worked studiously on ‘Transfer’ Literary Magazine. Late in 2006 she was an assistant lecturer at SFSU in Macromedia Flash. In her free time in San Francisco, she toured San Quentin Prison and worked for Ethan Kerber at his metal sculpture studio, which she often says, are her fondest memories.

She is currently combining her writing and design work to establish her own design career under the name DreamBox Design, and hopes to encourage more women to work in Multimedia, or what she describes as “boys town”.

Elise is a fan of Andrew McGahan, and enjoys swinging poi occasionally on the beach at Burleigh Heads and snickering at her own jokes.
